3 Stumbling Blocks to Great Presentations

# 3  Most people don't understand what clients expect from us when we are giving a presentation.

Most of us prepare for presentations by first thinking about what we know and then putting that information into a logical order.  That sounds reasonable, right?  When we fail to maike our point we wonder, "What happened?".

Here's the challenge when it comes to giving a persuasive presentation.  Logic doesn't work!
People rarely remember facts and figures from a presentation.  Further more they really don't care much about what we think we should be telling them.  In fact, if the truth be told,  at that moment when we are giving our presentation, they really don't care very much about us.

Our clients really only want to know one thing and that is, "What's in it for me?"

Isn't it interesting that it's not a question about facts and figures?  It is a psychological question and the only way to effectively answer that question is with a psychologically sequenced response.
